No Love from the Ripper’s Engine

Canfield Head Blown

Well The Ripper’s engineĀ  was close to being done. It was on the Dyno and didn’t make a Full Pull as they say. Seems the head was leaking water! Well the original heads as done by FPS (Ford Performance Solutions) had a casting defect or were over ported. The original motor had to be torn down due to the water leak in the intake port. It was welded up (Badly from what it seems) and worked until I over revved it. Head since then totally redone awaiting install, Ti Valves, nice new Isky Tool Room springs, etc. Look great. Well the word from QMP Racing is that seems your head had a leak. WTF. Well the weld was poorly done and likely the rework of the broken valve caused the poor weld to break. Warning Will Robinson you have a pile of water in your engine. Head comes off and out for new weld and sealer. Should have it done shortly and back on the Dyno, soon I hope!
